School Visits

Leejone is talking to kindergarteners at Eagle Rock Elementary (LAUSD) after reading a still-in-development copy of Momma Comma and the Soup Drama. The kids wanted to talk about pets, the story’s characters, and how to write and make their own books.

MOMMA COMMA AND THE SOUP DRAMA is such a creative and thoughtfully written book teaching and reinforcing the use of comma skills! Utilizing storytelling to introduce an otherwise new concept makes it tremendously accessible and engaging for students of all grade levels. I can see this book being used to introduce the concept in lower grades and reinforce the concept in upper grades. I can only hope that this book will grow into a series to teach many different lessons in punctuation and grammar mechanics!
